My stats have been wavering

Although I haven’t written a seriously long post for a couple of days my stats have gone up to prior levels. I am not sure this has anything to do with Medium and Medium itself is not making a difference in how many people read my blog. I think it purely has to do with the topics I pick and my posts on social media, which may or may not be related to anything I’ve written.
I just mentioned my blog and something I might be writing about and my numbers went up. Was that it? Or was it just randomly what people searched no that day? No idea. Can’t see all the stats so no real way to judge the numbers.
The other thing is that although views went up, reads were in the toilet.
21.57% read ratio.
Was that because I posted some shorter stories?
Perhaps it was due to the fact that I wrote some shorter stories and technical people likely read very fast. They are used to reading code fast and typing fast so I spect most of them scan articles for the…
