This popular appliance has been on our radar to custom-make seven different treats with the touch of a button: Ice Cream, Sorbet, Gelato, Milkshake, Smoothie Bowl, Lite Ice Cream, and Mix-in. Contributor Yelena Moroz Alpert uses it on the regular to make specialty desserts.
“The actual ice cream-making process takes just a couple of minutes as the blade (which is connected to the canister lid) works much like a reverse food processor and is lowered to the bottom of the pint as it breaks up the ice crystals and transforms the frozen base into a dessert,” she says. “I love making “bespoke” ice cream flavors that I can’t just pick up at the store—or can make myself for way less than the usual sticker price.”
